These terms govern your use of the TwoUp iOS app. They are the licence agreement between you and the developer of TwoUp ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you accept them.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not use TwoUp. Delete the app and, if you have paid for it, request a refund from Apple.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live and to hold an Apple Account. If you use the app under a parent's or guardian's Apple Account, they accept these terms on your behalf.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use TwoUp on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. The app is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, decompile or reverse-engineer it, or remove any notices from it, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Notes you write, documents you import and workspaces you build are yours. They stay on your device: the app has no server, and we have no access to them, no licence to them and no ability to recover them. Keep your own copies of anything that matters — deleting the app deletes what it holds, and iOS may reclaim app storage in circumstances outside our control.
You are responsible for having the right to open and store the files you import.
TwoUp can display websites you choose in its web pane. Those sites are operated by other people. We do not control, endorse or take responsibility for their content, availability, security or their handling of your data, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Some sites decline to be displayed inside an app; that is their choice, not a defect in TwoUp.
The app is free to use. TwoUp Pro unlocks two things: keeping more than one saved workspace, and saving your own sites as shortcuts. Everything else works without paying — every pane type, the two-page spread, the resizable divider, your notes, and opening any web address by typing it. Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, offered in two lengths:
Both are charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. Neither plan currently includes a free trial. If an introductory or free period is offered in future it will be stated in the app before you confirm, and the same 24-hour rule will apply to it — cancelling later than that still results in a charge, and any unused part of such a period is forfeited when a paid subscription begins.
Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm, and may differ by region and change over time; a price change to an existing subscription takes effect only as Apple permits, and never without notice. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under the App Store Terms of Service; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account and can be restored with Restore Purchases in the app.
TwoUp, its design, code, name and icon are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond the licence in section 3.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, iOS version or website. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for TwoUp in the twelve months before the claim. These limits apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms are between you and us — Apple is not a party to them. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for TwoUp. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
These terms apply while you use the app. You may end them at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end the licence if you materially breach them. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability — survive termination.
We may update these terms as the app changes. The "Last updated" date above will change, and continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: the app collects nothing and your content stays on your device.
